Where: The race will be held on Harris Creek, Vancouver Island. If water levels are too high to safely run Harris, the race will held on Hemmingsen Creek. In case of low water, the race will be on the upper or middle Gordon.

We tried to paddle the classic Upper Nanaimo River creek run today and found the gate to be closed. There was no operator anymore and a random person ionformed us that the access to that area is closed due to vandalism issues. This is very sad. We lost access to an ultra classic island run.

The BC Paddlesports is still looking for entrants into the 3 minute film contest. The three minute film contest is an opportunity for experienced and first time film makers alike to take up the challenge of short film production. The short film format doesn’t require a huge amount of time or funding, just a great idea. (more…)
