Conor and I went to explore Granite Creek by Port Renfrew yesterday and despite the low water level it still was some good times and I was scared shitless a few times.
Check out the pictures at:

and the short river write-up:
Granite Creek
Here are the major drops we remembered (don’t quote me on the sizes, they are all guessed):
15 foot with tree (right below put-in)
15 foot with wood wedged in at the lip, maybe at higher flow (we seal launched from the side)
30 foot where we seal launched half way down from pot-hole
10 foot tight slot right into a 5 foot ledge
25+ foot pretty clean, landing not sure but prob OK, we walked over an island
20 footer with complex slide lead-in, we walked, crossed pool and then there was:
15 foot pretty nasty, lands on a shelf in a tight slot and slams into right wall (I held your boat here for
you to seal launch, you took a pic of me jumping)
25 foot clean on right, more water, tree on left, into big punch bowl
8 foot with tricky lead in and rock in the middle (thought I cracked my boat there)
25 foot clean, tree on left in landing (ran it)
60 foot off vertical, wood-sieve at lip, maybe seal launch off a shelf and run lower half
or chuck and huck (thought we were done here)
numerous slides and very tight drops with tons of pin potential and sieves. The tightness of some drops
would make them harder at higher flows I think. (Conor pinned pretty good somewhere in here)
25+ foot, pretty clean, might clip rock shelf at bottom, not bad though (this is below where we hiked out)
60(+?) foot log jam at lip, into huge punch bowl. Other wise completely clean.
Below this I could see numerous drops in a canyon, fairly wide with boulder bottom.
Next time, we’ll take bathtubs with 15 horsepower kickers! Thats a nuevo extreme sport out here :-)
